Sunrise Yoga (All Levels)
Sunrise Yoga is a Mixed Level Hatha Flow class suitable for the enthusiastic beginner and intermediate student. Modifications and enhancements will be given as needed.
This class will start with a gentle warmup to wake the body. Then, depending on the needs of the students, we will either practice the componets of Hatha Flow in a slow and easy manner or move into a more vigorous Vinyasa Flow. Class finishes with stretching, deep relaxation.
Kundalini Yoga & Meditation (All Levels)
A traditional form of kriya yoga brought to the west by Yogi Bhajan that utilizes breath, movement, angles and sound to awaken energy flowing in the spine, the chakra system and the subtle bodies. Classes include a kundalini yoga set, a meditation and mantra that work directly to strengthen and balance the nervous system and the endocrine system while raising consciousness.
*Sunday Community Yoga (Donation Class)
This fun & relaxing yoga class for beginner and intermediate yogis is taught by Carla.
Carla has been teaching yoga for her "meetup" community at a neighborhood park and now Yoga Body & Soul is proud to provide space for them on Sunday mornings.
This donation class is open to the community including YB&S members.

*Mindfulness Meditation (Donation Class)
Mindfulness is the practice by which one learns to be aware, accepting and non-judgemental of one's own experience in the present moment. It helps us realize that life is available only in the here and now and that the future and the past exist only in our minds.
Mindfulness is an ancient Buddhist practice adopted by the west due to its undeniable holistic benefits. It has been shown to calm the mind and emotions for increased psychological and cognitive clarity. With regular practice it can drastically improve the quality of life and helps develop the ability to stay grounded in the midst of stress.
In this short 30 minute class you will learn and practice a variety of simple techniques that focus awareness in the here and now so you can practice being present with yourself with compassion and acceptance.

Gentle Hatha (Level 1)
A beginner friendly class that introduces Hatha yoga breathing techniques, stretches, postures and flowing movements (beginning vinyasa) that will relax and renew mind and body. Designed to help you become more in tune with your body while improving flexiblity, strength and balance.
Gentle Yoga Blend (Level 1)
This class combines gentle components of Hatha yoga, Qi-Gong and Kundalini yoga to create a safe and healthful experience for beginners of all ages. You'll move every joint, muscle and tendon, improve flexiblity, strength and balance and release stress and tension while learning more about different styles of yoga and meditation.
Gentle Hatha w/Aromatherapy (Level 1)
This beginner friendly (and prenatal friendly) class is a blissful and revitalizing yoga experience. It begins with aromatherapy utilizing Certified Pure Essential Oils by doTerra. Then you'll move through a gentle Hatha yoga sequence of stretches and postures that relax and renew mind and body while increasing flexibility, balance and strength.
Restorative Yoga (Level 1)
This beginner friendly class starts with aromatherapy using Certified Pure Essential Oils by doTerra. Then you'll be guided through a gentle stretching routine to release restlessness from the body. Gentle stretching is followed by deep relaxation in restorative yoga postures, comfortably cushioned and proped with blankets, bolsters or blocks in all the right places. Restorative Yoga helps us learn to relax while improving flexibility and will leave you feeling nourished and well rested.
*Placentia Community Restorative Yoga
This 8 Week Restorative Yoga Series focuses on relaxation and flexibility. Each class begins with a gentle warmup to release tension from the body. Then you'll savor the deep relaxation of restorative yoga postures, comfortably propped with yoga blankets for support in all the right places. Restorative Yoga is great for stress relief and fatigue and will leave you feeling well rested, nourished and more flexible.

Hatha Flow (Level 1 / 2)
For the intermediate student, this class provides more detailed instructions on the alignment of basic postures and introduces more advanced poses with an emphasis on building strength, deeper stretching, backbending, twisting and inversions. Poses are held longer and combined with Vinyasa Flow (Sun Salutations) at a moderate pace.
